Shopping
If you are staying in Split or near Split and you feel like shopping, you should definitely visit one of its shopping centers (City Center One, Joker, Mall of Split) that have a large list of brands popular all over the world. Here it is possible to find something for everyone and for every pocket.
In case you are not a fan of large shopping centers and you prefer small independent shops, don’t hesitate to visit all the small shops hidden in narrow streets of Split and Trogir. In these streets you will not only find exceptional souvenir shops, but also small shops with local designer’s clothes and delicacies shops. In Split, the main shopping street is Marmontova. There you can find different kinds of shops, bigger and smaller ones.
Another very interesting part of every coastal town, Split and Trogir especially, to visit are green markets. Here you can find people selling domestic fruits and vegetables, olive oil, dried figs, candied almonds, famous spirit drink travarica and even domestic wine. For locals, green market is not only a place to buy groceries; it is also a place to hear the news and chitchat with people. To buy fish and at the same time experience the real vibe of a typical Dalmatian fish market, you should wake up early in the morning and go to the local fish market.
